Clifton Town Meeting

In the Spring of 1961 a group of Clifton residents began meeting to explore how a community within the city could express its needs and goals within the framework of city government. The result was the Clifton Town Meeting-an official community council recognized by the City of Cincinnati. CTM, as it is commonly referred to, is the planning and policy organization for the residents of Clifton.

Monthly Meetings / Agendas

Plaza Update

Funds are in place to build a community plaza at the site of the former Bender Optical building, next to Clifton Barbers and directly across from Graeter's Ice Cream. The plaza is envisioned to provide a new and inviting connection between the Merchants' parking lot and Ludlow Avenue .

A committee of Clifton residents is working to guide the process of design and has selected KZF Design to design the plaza and manage construction. The kickoff meeting with KZF is scheduled for December 16, and if everything goes well, the plaza will be completed before cool weather returns next year.

A community meeting was held in August to gather ideas about what the plaza should be. A report on the meeting forms the starting point for guiding plaza design. You are invited to read the report and submit suggestions if you wish. The earlier that new suggestions are received, the more likely they can be factored into the committee's work as it moves forward. Summary of previous planning sessions. To volunteer or to offer suggestions send a note to contactCTM@list.cliftoncommunity.org with Plaza as the the title of your email.
